Think I just found what I want for my birthday…the entire Taka-Naka AW2012 Collection:) Love the heart these sisters put into their design @TataNaka_TN!

Tata-Naka is designed by Georgian-born identical twins, Tamara and Natasha Surguladze. They arrived in London in 1996 to study design at Central St Martin’s and in 2000 Barneys NYC dedicated a wall to their awe-inspiring graduation collection. The Tata-Naka statement pieces regularly starred in the legendary series ‘’Sex in the City’’ and were worn by Carrie Bradshaw on the cover of the official book.

While the ‘Flatbush’ print evokes the spirit and vibrancy of the energy brought from the Caribbean and Africa mixed into the community. The ‘Prospect Park’ print is young, fresh and energetic; the green subtly reminds us of the nature in the park while the vibrant fuchsia, teal and purple remind us of the life imbued into Brooklyn by all of the artists, musicians and entrepreneurs.
